تناول هذا البحث مسح المستويات الحالية لتكامل المعلومات في عينة من منظمات القطاع الصناعي الحكومية في العراق من وجهات نظر متعددة وحدة المعلومات, الادارة العليا, الادارة المستفيدة ) . وتوصلت الى النتائج تفيد بان المنظمات تطبق بعض مجالات اتمتة المعلومات بشكل جيد في حين لا تطبقها في مجالات اخرى . كذلك فانه يمكن تحديد الاحتمالات الرئيسية التي تهدد تكامل المعلومات والتي تؤثر على نوعية المعلومات . اخيرا يوصي البحث بوضع ستراتيجية وطنية لنظم المعلومات لتحديد الاحتياجات من المعدات المستلزمات, الخبرات لتكنولوجيا المعلومات.
