Submission Guidelines for Authors in Al-Baheth Journal

Al-Baheth Journal, published by the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Karbala, welcomes submissions of original research in various fields of the humanities. To ensure the quality of content and adherence to academic standards, authors are requested to follow these guidelines when preparing and submitting their manuscripts.

Submission Requirements

• Originality and Quality: Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The research should provide significant contributions to the field of knowledge.
• Objectivity: Manuscripts must be free from personal biases or any form of prejudice.
• Scope of the Journal: The journal publishes research in fields such as literature, history, social sciences, philosophy, education, and linguistics.

Manuscript Preparation

• Language: Manuscripts are accepted in both Arabic and English. Writing should be clear, following the formal academic style.
• Abstract: Each submission must include an abstract of up to 250 words, summarizing the study's objectives, methodology, and main findings. The abstract should be provided in both Arabic and English.
• Keywords: Authors should include (4-6) relevant keywords that represent the main topics of the research.

Formatting Requirements

• Text Formatting: Manuscripts in Arabic should use Traditional Arabic font size (16), while those in English should use Times New Roman font size (12). Paragraphs and headings should be formatted clearly and consistently.
• Citations and References: Authors must adhere to the journal's citation style (such as APA or MLA). All sources cited in the text must be listed in the references section.
• Tables and Figures: Tables and figures should be included within the manuscript in sequence, with clear titles, and sources noted where applicable.

Submission Process

• Electronic Platform: Authors are required to submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission platform, where a unique identifier will be assigned for tracking purposes.
• Fees: In certain cases, a nominal fee may be charged to cover editorial and review costs, with prior notification provided to authors.

Peer-Review Policy

• Scientific Review: All submissions undergo a double-blind review process to ensure impartiality and confidentiality. Each manuscript is reviewed by subject experts without revealing the identities of authors or reviewers.
• Review Timeline: The review process typically takes (4-6) weeks. Authors may be asked to make revisions based on reviewers' feedback.

Copyright and Open Access

• Open Access: The journal publishes articles under an open-access policy, making research freely available to scholars and the academic community.
• Author Rights: Authors retain copyright of their work; however, the journal reserves the right to publish and distribute the article in both electronic and print formats.

Academic Ethics

The journal emphasizes strict adherence to academic ethics, including:

• Transparency and Integrity: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
• No Plagiarism: Manuscripts should be free from all forms of plagiarism. The journal reserves the right to use plagiarism-detection tools to ensure the authenticity of submitted work.
